One thing I find very interesting is that most Japanese live in houses, only the wealthiest ones live in apartments. I've learnt this from watching anime and reading manga (not sure whether it's true). But it is often portrayed as that rich people live in new apartments. Whereas in Hong Kong, almost everyone lives in a flat, which is kind of like an apartment; and only the rich people can afford houses. The situation in Hong Kong and Japan are completely different.
